Please join me on a tour of your soul November 1-3 in Florence, Italy. Not only are we going to dive into your past and heal old wounds, but we are going to release what no longer serves you so you can step boldly into your future. The only way to do this, though, is from within, and that is where we will start. Doing this kind of work is what most people shy away from, but I can tell you, it is worth it. It's a wild ride but I promise you'll come out stronger, more confident, lighter, and brighter. Even Aristotle spoke of the pleasures inherent in the cathartic release of tension. This process of releasing strong or repressed emotions can provide relief from physical pain, as well as the mental spiral we all know too well. When you get in touch with your feelings and feel them all the way to your core, you can accept them, sit with them, and then let them go. You will leave Italy with less baggage than you came with, metaphorically speaking that is, and return a lighter version of yourself with more clarity and purpose.
Need help expressing yourself?

Here are some tips to help you express your emotions in a healthy way. First and foremost, use positive self talk- this is huge. Next, be a good listener. It might be helpful to remember what Epictetus said, that we have two ears and one mouth, so we can listen twice as much as we speak. Give spirituality a try- breathwork, meditation, and yoga can have a huge impact not only on your emotional state, but your mental and physical ones, too. Practice acceptance, empathy, and mindfulness. Forgive, be grateful, be optimistic, try something new, take a risk, go outside, and don't put off your happiness. These are all things that we will be doing during the Transformative Experience. I will teach you not only the tools, but how to incorporate these practices into your daily life. The Substitute
The breath is a natural thing that we all have at our disposal, but we typically don't pay attention to it. The benefits of consciously breathing are immeasurable, and I only wish that I knew this when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. I wonder if it could have helped save his life. Breath is life. A tool that helps encourage this behavior is The Substitute. A psychological/physiological tool to use instead of smoking or eating that relieves stress and anxiety. No tobacco. No toxins. Simply air. Just breathe.

My first book had all the feels. I expressed how I was feeling while my husband went through his transformation.
My second mini memoir expressed my emotional roller coaster of life while learning the tools to cope.
